Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a writer and American actor who is active in theater as well as television and film. She began her career as an actress in theatre and then went on to appear in many television series, mainstream and independent films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. The BET's massive show The Book of Negroes she was a character. She did not only receive critical acclaim for her performance, but she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. She started her career acting in 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. Alongside Broadway's Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted through her performances on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her role on television on ABC's drama series about police High Incident has earned her high praise.
